Need help? Ask us
What happens during my initial men’s hormone consultation?

The consultation includes a review of symptoms, medical history, medications, lifestyle, sexual health, fertility goals, previous treatments, risk factors, and relevant bloodwork.

Do I need bloodwork before starting testosterone therapy?

Baseline bloodwork is required to assess hormone levels and treatment safety. Testing is individualized according to age, symptoms, health history, medications, and risk factors.

Does a low testosterone result automatically mean I need TRT?

No. Testosterone results are interpreted together with symptoms, medical history, timing of testing, and other possible contributing factors before treatment is considered.

Will testosterone therapy affect fertility?

Testosterone therapy can affect sperm production. Fertility goals are therefore discussed before treatment begins, and alternative options may be considered when appropriate.

What testosterone treatment options are available?

Treatment is individualized and may include injectable or topical testosterone when clinically appropriate.

How are patients monitored after starting TRT?

Regular follow-up appointments and bloodwork are required to evaluate symptoms, hormone levels, treatment response, and potential side effects. Treatment may be adjusted as needed.

Is SOMA a primary care clinic?
